Planning for College
It is never too early to start preparing your student for college! In early childhood, this looks like fostering enjoyment in reading and considering opening a college savings account (529 Plan). Seniors and Families: October is known as “College Knowledge Month” in Minnesota! This event gives extra focus on planning for your future and applying to colleges this fall. A number of MN colleges do not charge an application fee at any time, but during College Knowledge Month other schools waive the application fee for the whole month of October, some for just the last week of October, and some do not offer free but always offer a fee waiver if eligible. For a list of participating schools and fee information, go to https://sites.google.com/view/minnesotagoestocollege/site-support/free-application-opportunities
